On 18 July 2025, the Value Group came together in the spirit of Mandela Day to honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela. This year, we chose to celebrate by turning inward, recognising the incredible people who make up our organisation. Inspired by Madiba’s belief that charity starts with one’s local community, we dedicated our 67 minutes to appreciating one another - across departments, roles, and regions. Teams stepped away from their usual routines to connect - office-based colleagues joined operational teams to share a warm drink and a sweet treat. These moments of connection reminded us that behind every delivery, every report, and every decision, a colleague is contributing to our shared success. Mandela Day became more than just a symbolic gesture - it was a celebration of the people who make Value great! Thank you for making this day one of reflection, appreciation, and unity. On 29 August 2025, the Value Group proudly participated in a heartwarming initiative that involved arranging and transporting an anonymous donation of food from Cape Town to Save-A-Pet, Gqeberha. Our Cape Town team coordinated the collection of the donation, while the Gqeberha team arranged the delivery and rallied staff members to assist with the offloading. Thanks to this collaborative effort, we successfully delivered 10 pallets of dog food, which will provide food for the animals at Save-A-Pet for an entire year!

The organisation combines tin food with pellets to stretch resources, provides tin food to volunteers who feed stray animals, and also supports other non-profit organisations in desperate need of food for animals. A sincere thank you goes out to everyone who made this possible. This initiative is a powerful reminder that a little kindness goes a long way, and in this case, it goes a very long way!
