FESTIVE EDITION 2025
DECEMBER 2025
As we approach the end of 2025, it’s a good time to pause and reflect on what has been another eventful year for Value Group. Despite operating in an unpredictable economy, our group has shown steady progress. Operations and IT have performed well, and we’ve seen consistent growth in volumes from new customers across multiple business units. Our coastal regions, in particular, have benefited from new contracts and fresh opportunities, contributing to solid growth across the country. Value has continued to achieve stability and success in a world that remains uncertain. The South African economy has faced significant volatility this year, shaped by global and local factors alike. Shifts in international trade policies have had a direct impact, most notably the USA’s introduction of a 30% tariff on all South African imports from 1 August 2025. These tariffs have affected key sectors such as automotive, steel, and chemicals industries where Value plays an active role. At the same time, ongoing load-shedding, currency fluctuations, and increased competition from Chinese imports have added further strain. Many long-standing customers have experienced declining volumes as a result. Our focus moving forward will be on expanding our customer base and deepening our current partnerships to ensure resilient. We have adapted to change, refined our processes, and continued to deliver exceptional service to our customers. 2025 has been a year of continuous improvement, from small refinements to major operational changes, all aimed at enhancing quality and customer satisfaction. sustainable growth in the years ahead. Through it all, Value Group has remained
Our goal remains clear: to be a high-quality organisation, not merely a large one. We believe that excellence drives sustainability, and sustainability drives growth. Our well-maintained fleet reflects this philosophy, with older vehicles replaced and new ones introduced across depots nationwide. In 2026, we will continue to invest in technology, staff development, and service enhancements to ensure Value remains at the forefront of quality logistics in South Africa. Above all, our greatest achievement is our people. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every member of the Value team. Your hard work, dedication, and teamwork are what keep this organisation moving forward. Together, we support more than 5 000 employees and their families, a remarkable contribution to the South African economy. Our learnership programmes continue to provide life-changing opportunities for many who simply needed a chance to build a future. As we look to the new year, Value stands on a strong foundation, ready to take on new challenges and build on our success. Please travel safely during the December and January holiday period. Road accidents remain tragically high at this time of year, and your safety, and that of your loved ones matters most. I wish you and your families a joyful festive season, and a healthy, safe, and prosperous 2026 filled with opportunity, growth, and success.

TSUMEB DEPOT HITS THE GROUND RUNNING
We’re proud to announce the early success of our newest depot in Tsumeb, Namibia, which officially opened its doors on 4 August 2025. Nestled in a town rich with mining heritage, founded in 1905 and the largest in the Oshikoto region, our Tsumeb facility stands surrounded by remnants of its industrious past.
EXPANDING OUR FOOTPRINT IN
OPTIMISING OUR NETWORK FOR NORTHERN NAMIBIA
With nearly 40% of our Namibian volume destined for the northern regions, the Tsumeb depot is strategically located to enhance efficiency and service delivery. The 570m² warehouse currently supports two regional routes, with a third route planned for 2026. By operating from this northern hub, we’re saving approximately 7,266 kilometres of travel each month, a significant reduction that translates into lower fuel costs and fewer sleep-outs for our team. The added capacity will also help us to manage peak volumes more effectively and free up valuable space at our Windhoek facility, enabling us to better handle seasonal surges and pursue new business opportunities in the capital.
POWERED BY PEOPLE
At the heart of the Tsumeb operation is a small but mighty team: two drivers, one crew member, one checker, and Liezl Schoeman (Branch Manager), who oversees the depot. Their dedication ensures seamless operations and top-tier service for our clients in the region.
WE’RE SAVING APPROXIMATELY 7,266 KILOMETRES OF TRAVEL EACH MONTH
LOOKING AHEAD
The Tsumeb depot marks the first step in our broader strategy to grow our Namibian footprint and strengthen our national network. Looking forward, we’re already exploring the potential for a coastal depot, which would further extend our reach and allow us to serve even more clients across the country. Importantly, the move north is underpinned by long-term market growth and buying power in the region. Increased cross-border trade into Angola, along with rising demand from Zambia, continues to drive higher volumes through northern Namibia. Towns such as Katima Mulilo, Eenhana, and Oshikango have all experienced significant increases in activity, supported by strong Angolan purchasing power, while agricultural expansion in areas like Nkurenkuru and Divundu is generating new flows of fresh produce exports. Local development also points to sustained growth. Mining activity is expected to revive with the planned reopening of the Kombat mine in 2026, which will bring renewed employment and logistics demand in the Tsumeb area. At the same time, retail investment is on the rise, with new branches planned in northern towns, which will further contribute to higher distribution needs. Taken together, these developments reinforce why establishing a depot in Tsumeb is a timely and strategic decision. It positions Value Logistics to capture emerging opportunities, support regional growth, and ensure we remain a trusted partner for clients across Namibia and beyond.

CONGRATULATIONS TO KEY DISTRIBUTORS ON THEIR NEW HOME!
MOVES TO VALUE PARK
CHEMICAL LOGISITCS LAUNCHES NEW ERA OF GROWTH WITH THE STRAGETIC MOVE TO VALUE PARK, GQEBERHA! We are thrilled to announce the successful relocation of our Chemical Logistics Division from the Markman facility to our newly renovated facility at Value Park in Struandale, Gqeberha. This strategic move, effective 1 October 2025, marks a significant leap forward in our operational capabilities and commitment to client service. The new Value Park facility brings a host of strategic advantages that significantly elevate our operational capabilities. With a dramatically increased capacity, the warehouse now spans 15,000m 2 , tripling the size of our previous footprint and providing a solid foundation for both current operations and future growth. It also serves as an integrated operations hub, consolidating several key business units under one roof, including the Chemical Logistics Division, Plascon, Afrique, the Bond Store, and a specialised flammable storage unit. Strategically located in Struandale the facility offers enhanced proximity to our client base, enabling faster response times and stronger partnerships. It also fosters operational synergy by joining other Value Group divisions already established at Value Park, encouraging collaboration and resource sharing. Additionally, its prime position along the busy N2 highway ensures exceptional brand visibility, continuously reinforcing our presence in the region. BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE: EXPANSION ALREADY UNDERWAY Our commitment to growth extends well beyond the relocation to Value Park. We are actively advancing the next phase of expansion, starting with the construction of a second dedicated flammable storage facility, which is already underway and scheduled for completion early in the new year. This addition will further strengthen our ability to safely and efficiently manage flammable products. In parallel, plans are in place to increase our warehouse capacity by approximately 5,000m 2 , ensuring we continue to meet rising demand and maintain operational excellence. WHY THIS MOVE MATTERS This relocation is far more than just a change of address, it marks a transformative step in strengthening our operational foundation. The modern, integrated facility streamlines processes and significantly boosts efficiency, creating a stronger operational backbone. With expanded capacity and a strategic location, we are now better positioned to serve our clients and explore new business opportunities. Most importantly, Value Park provides the ideal environment for the Chemical Logistics Division to grow and evolve as a dynamic, essential part of our broader logistics network, laying the groundwork for sustained success. LOOKING AHEAD The future is undoubtedly bigger, brighter, and bolder for the Chemical Logistics Division. This relocation is a powerful statement of our growth trajectory and dedication to excellence. We are excited to leverage this new facility to deliver even greater value to our clients and stakeholders.
Since relocating to the 11,933m² facility, we have: • Strengthened our product mix to better serve customers across Forecourt and General Trade channels, giving them improved choice, value and availability. • Eliminated some of our inefficiencies by streamlining operations into a single, bigger and well-coordinated hub. • Stopped night shift operations, reducing risk, improving control, and creating a more productive and cost-effective working environment. • Centralised picking, packing, wrapping and distribution for all Key regions, excluding the Western Cape, through the new facility, improving customer range, and price through efficient purchasing • Reignited energy and pride within the business, thanks to a modern, efficient, and professional working environment. • Improved supplier engagement, as partners recognise the capability and strategic direction of Key.
Key Distributors successfully relocated from Value City to our new central warehouse at 140 N Reef Rd, Rietfontein 63-IR, Germiston earlier this year. This move was far more than a change of address, it marked a strategic shift in how we operate, serve our customers, and position the business for sustainable growth. This warehouse is big enough to support our growth ambitions, yet focused enough to remain well managed and controlled, providing a strong foundation for the next phase of our journey. The move wasn’t just about more space. It was about momentum, discipline, and building a business ready for the future.

On 18 July 2025, the Value Group came together in the spirit of Mandela Day to honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela. This year, we chose to celebrate by turning inward, recognising the incredible people who make up our organisation. Inspired by Madiba’s belief that charity starts with one’s local community, we dedicated our 67 minutes to appreciating one another - across departments, roles, and regions. Teams stepped away from their usual routines to connect - office-based colleagues joined operational teams to share a warm drink and a sweet treat. These moments of connection reminded us that behind every delivery, every report, and every decision, a colleague is contributing to our shared success. Mandela Day became more than just a symbolic gesture - it was a celebration of the people who make Value great! Thank you for making this day one of reflection, appreciation, and unity. Together, we made our 67 minutes count - not just for Mandela Day, but for each other. 67 MINUTES OF APPRECIATION ACROSS THE VALUE GROUP
On 29 August 2025, the Value Group proudly participated in a heartwarming initiative that involved arranging and transporting an anonymous donation of food from Cape Town to Save-A-Pet, Gqeberha. Our Cape Town team coordinated the collection of the donation, while the Gqeberha team arranged the delivery and rallied staff members to assist with the offloading. Thanks to this collaborative effort, we successfully delivered 10 pallets of dog food, which will provide food for the animals at Save-A-Pet for an entire year!
The organisation combines tin food with pellets to stretch resources, provides tin food to volunteers who feed stray animals, and also supports other non-profit organisations in desperate need of food for animals. A sincere thank you goes out to everyone who made this possible. This initiative is a powerful reminder that a little kindness goes a long way, and in this case, it goes a very long way!

The festive season is a time of celebration, and togetherness. Homes fill with excitement, and travel plans are made, but amid the excitement, it is easy to overlook safety. Whether you’re hosting a gathering, shopping for gifts, or going away on holiday, staying vigilant can make all the difference. Here are essential safety tips to help you enjoy the season without misfortunes.

BELOW IS HER JOURNEY
Completing my Honours degree in Supply Chain Management has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s not only sharpened my strategic thinking but also deepened my understanding of how supply chains operate as complex, interconnected systems. The coursework challenged me to think critically and strengthened my analytical and problem solving skills, giving me the ability to make data-driven decisions and contribute to more efficient, resilient supply chain operations. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is the importance of cross-functional collaboration. When teams are aligned and working toward shared goals, the impact on performance and innovation is powerful. I’m truly grateful to Value for the opportunity to pursue this qualification, and to everyone who supported me along the way. Your encouragement, guidance, and belief in me made this achievement possible. I’m excited to take what I’ve learned and apply it to real-world challenges, helping build supply chains that are not only efficient, but also sustainable and future-ready”
In 2024, I was privileged to be nominated by Value Logistics to participate in the MAP Program at Wits Business School, a journey that became so much more than just an academic opportunity. It was an experience that stretched me, challenged me, and ultimately helped me grow, both professionally and personally. The programme brought together remarkable women from diverse companies and industries, each bringing unique skills and perspectives. Through these engagements, I gained insights that extended far beyond my existing experience and broadened my understanding of business as a whole.
As a Financial Manager, I had often focused deeply on my role and responsibilities. The MAP Program encouraged me to lift my head and look at business on a much broader scale. It gave me the chance to “step into different shoes” - to understand the challenges and decisions faced at various managerial levels and across different divisions. This shift in perspective allowed me to see how every role contributes to the bigger picture of organisational success. The program itself was fast-paced and demanding, requiring us to absorb significant amounts of information in a short space of time and apply it in practical ways through assignments, projects, and examinations. Balancing these expectations with my professional and personal commitments was not easy - time management became my greatest challenge. Yet, it was through that challenge that I discovered resilience, focus, and the importance of prioritisation. Looking back, I am grateful for the opportunity. The MAP Program didn’t just expand my knowledge of business, it expanded my vision of what is possible for myself. It reminded me that growth often happens outside of our comfort zones and that with determination, discipline, and support, we can rise to meet any challenge”

CYRIL MATSANE Financial Manager – Value Logistics
Firstly, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Value Logistics for granting me the opportunity to pursue my Business Management course through the employee bursary programme. This journey has not only broadened my knowledge but also deepened my understanding of key areas such as management, business finance, operations, and the various components that drive success in business. Balancing work and study was undoubtedly challenging, but through discipline, resilience, and the unwavering support of my colleagues and family, I was able to overcome those challenges and succeed.
As Nelson Mandela once said, “It always seems impossible until it is done.” That quote truly resonates with this achievement. Lastly, I am excited and fully committed to applying the knowledge and skills I have gained to contribute meaningfully to the continued growth and success of our business.”
