ValueViews-Festive2025-Digital

We are pleased to share encouraging progress from our unemployed learners enrolled in the Occupational Certificate: Freight Handler NQF 3 and Supply Chain Practitioner NQF 5 learnerships. Learners have successfully completed their classroom training and have now transitioned into the workplace phase, where they are gaining valuable hands-on experience in the supply chain industry. Each learner is supported by a dedicated workplace mentor, ensuring they receive guidance and practical coaching as they apply their new skills on the job. We are also proud to announce that our Joostenbergvlakte site is now an Accredited Assessment Centre for the Occupational Certificate: Freight Handler NQF 3 qualification. This milestone allows us to conduct External Integrated Summative Assessments (EISA) on-site, streamlining the process and providing a supportive environment for our learners. These achievements reflect our commitment to quality learning, youth development, and building future-ready skills. We look forward to seeing our learners continue to grow and succeed. Here’s to powering up, staying strong, and Making Value Greater this peak season!

Practical Projects Drive Real Impact

35 employees completed the Certificate in Management Development (CMD) Learnership for 2024–2025, concluding with a final assessment in July. Each participant identified a workplace challenge and implemented a solution using skills gained from key units such as Project Management, Leadership, Budgeting, and Communication. Projects were presented to a panel including their manager, Certificate in Management Development facilitator and assessor, the training provider’s Practice Leader, and Graham Burnett, Senior Training Officer. Topics ranged from DTA revamp and Customer Service Training to Fleet Utilisation and No POD, No Payment. The standout presentation came from Kay Johannes (Bloemfontein), whose “No POD, No Payment” project was praised for its depth and delivery. Honourable mentions included Natasha Els (Truck Rental), Gift Sibisi (Express), Christiaan Beetge (Loss Control), and Noble Clarke (Logistics).

This cohort showcased the power of applied learning and its impact on operational excellence.
