TSUMEB DEPOT HITS THE GROUND RUNNING
We’re proud to announce the early success of our newest depot in Tsumeb, Namibia, which officially opened its doors on 4 August 2025. Nestled in a town rich with mining heritage, founded in 1905 and the largest in the Oshikoto region, our Tsumeb facility stands surrounded by remnants of its industrious past.
EXPANDING OUR FOOTPRINT IN
OPTIMISING OUR NETWORK FOR NORTHERN NAMIBIA
With nearly 40% of our Namibian volume destined for the northern regions, the Tsumeb depot is strategically located to enhance efficiency and service delivery. The 570m² warehouse currently supports two regional routes, with a third route planned for 2026. By operating from this northern hub, we’re saving approximately 7,266 kilometres of travel each month, a significant reduction that translates into lower fuel costs and fewer sleep-outs for our team. The added capacity will also help us to manage peak volumes more effectively and free up valuable space at our Windhoek facility, enabling us to better handle seasonal surges and pursue new business opportunities in the capital.
POWERED BY PEOPLE
At the heart of the Tsumeb operation is a small but mighty team: two drivers, one crew member, one checker, and Liezl Schoeman (Branch Manager), who oversees the depot. Their dedication ensures seamless operations and top-tier service for our clients in the region.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Tsumeb depot marks the first step in our broader strategy to grow our Namibian footprint and strengthen our national network. Looking forward, we’re already exploring the potential for a coastal depot, which would further extend our reach and allow us to serve even more clients across the country. Importantly, the move north is underpinned by long-term market growth and buying power in the region. Increased cross-border trade into Angola, along with rising demand from Zambia, continues to drive higher volumes through northern Namibia. Towns such as Katima Mulilo, Eenhana, and Oshikango have all experienced significant increases in activity, supported by strong Angolan purchasing power, while agricultural expansion in areas like Nkurenkuru and Divundu is generating new flows of fresh produce exports. Local development also points to sustained growth. Mining activity is expected to revive with the planned reopening of the Kombat mine in 2026, which will bring renewed employment and logistics demand in the Tsumeb area. At the same time, retail investment is on the rise, with new branches planned in northern towns, which will further contribute to higher distribution needs. Taken together, these developments reinforce why establishing a depot in Tsumeb is a timely and strategic decision. It positions Value Logistics to capture emerging opportunities, support regional growth, and ensure we remain a trusted partner for clients across Namibia and beyond.
